Have you visited Ni''iinlii Njik (Fishing Branch) Territorial Park?

Together, the park (whose name means "where fish spawn") consists of an ecological reserve and a wilderness preserve, with an adjacent Habitat Protection Area and Settlement Lands that protect a distinct ecosystem in the Traditional Territory of the Vuntut Gwichin First Nation.

The park possesses critical late fall grizzly bear habitat, year-round open water, and large trees rarely seen this far north. The Porcupine Caribou herd also migrates through the area, and Dall sheep and moose call it home.

The 6,500-square kilometre wilderness area is a legacy of the Vuntut Gwitchin land claim agreement and is jointly managed by Yukon government and Vuntut Gwitchin government.
