A Long Journey Home series

Blue graphic as introduction to the A Long Journey Home video series.

A Long Journey Home is a four-part series created after the signing of the Umbrella Final Agreement to educate the public about the journey to the Yukon’s modern treaties.

To this day, these films remain a valuable resource and treasure trove of archival footage that can be used to learn about the history and reasons why Yukon First Nations negotiated these agreements with the federal and Yukon governments.

There are four videos in this series ranging in length from 47 to 55 minutes.

Created in 1997 by NEDAA in partnership with the Council of Yukon First Nations and the Northern Native Broadcasting Yukon.
